Education without values cannot build a strong future. The students of classes V to IX were supposed to prepare posters on moral values. They fostered their creativity through beautiful posters with an allied theme for each.
Trees are the most important part of nature which are critical to all other living beings on this planet. The students of TSS heartily celebrated this day by making badges, bands and decorating the entire school in green. The entire school participated in planting saplings to promote afforestation followed by an enactment on the Chipko Movement.
The competition was a fun spelling learning experience for the students of classes I to IX. It was conducted in 3 phases with some exciting rounds to qualify for each phase. The inquisitive students witnessed the exciting ways to learn spellings and the participants’ involvement made the activity an accomplished one.
This day was celebrated by a small skit performed by the junior students on the story of Rathyatra , followed by pulling the Rath and going around the school campus. Prasad was distributed among the students and all staff members.
The Summit School believes in thematic learning. Hence, the facilitators at the Summit School had organized for a concept day celebration to portray the knowledge and skill of the students on that particular concept in front of the whole section. The concept that chosen was ‘Animals’. The students were seen dressed up as different animals, sang rhymes and spoke few lines on the character which they were dressed. This helped the students to develop their language and communication skills.
The students participated in this competition andexpressed their understanding of the essence of the literary pieces. The students were highly expressive and the recited the poems with proper intonation and voice modulation capturing of the true flavor of their meaning.
The students of classes Nursery and L.Kg had great fun splashing water and playing water games in the pools as one of their summer activities. The students carried their bathing suits and towels and took turns to enter the pools and enjoy. The teachers organized some games to develop the motor skills for the nursery kids. The smile on the faces of these kids was everlasting.
It was a day for the mothers to show their talents. The pre-primary section of the Summit School organized Mother’s day, where all the mothers were invited and they participated in craft making activity along with their children. Different classes had different craft themes. It was lovely to see the children encouraging their mothers to complete their craft on time. The students also gave cards made by them to their mothers.
This is that day of the year when TSS students remembers Noble Laureate Rabindranath and celebrates his birthday. The students recited poems of Rabindranath, sang and danced on his song and enacted the famous poem ‘HERO’,thus paying homage to the great scholar and novelist.
The students of TSS keenly participated in the quiz competition conducted in 4 rounds. The quick fire round and the audio-visual round were the most remarkable one. The students enjoyed the activity thoroughly.
