Recitation Competition 26th June 2019

The students participated in this competition andexpressed their understanding of the essence of the literary pieces. The students were highly expressive and the recited the poems with proper intonation and voice modulation capturing of the true flavor of their meaning.

Summer Splash 25th June’19

The students of classes Nursery and L.Kg had great fun splashing water and playing water games in the pools as one of their summer activities. The students carried their bathing suits and towels and took turns to enter the pools and enjoy. The teachers organized some games to develop the motor skills for the nursery kids. The smile on the faces of these kids was everlasting.

Celebration of Mother’s day 9th May’19

It was a day for the mothers to show their talents. The pre-primary section of the Summit School organized Mother’s day, where all the mothers were invited and they participated in craft making activity along with their children. Different classes had different craft themes. It was lovely to see the children encouraging their mothers to complete their craft on time. The students also gave cards made by them to their mothers.

Rabindra Jayanti Celebration 9th May’19

This is that day of the year when TSS students remembers Noble Laureate Rabindranath and celebrates his birthday. The students recited poems of Rabindranath, sang and danced on his song and enacted the famous poem ‘HERO’,thus paying homage to the great scholar and novelist.

Quiz Competition 3rd May’19

The students of TSS keenly participated in the quiz competition conducted in 4 rounds. The quick fire round and the audio-visual round were the most remarkable one. The students enjoyed the activity thoroughly.

Labour Day Celebrations 2nd May’19

The TSS teaches its students to be humble and modest. The labour or the international workers day was celebrated in the school with full zeal. The students of class IX conducted a special assembly, where they highlighted the historical events that contributed to the emergence of labour rights and the significance of the day through a powerful speech.

Earth Day 22nd April’19

The students of class III presented the thought of the day, a motivational speech and highlighted the issues related to the water crisis to sensitize the participants towards the environment. The students of TSS pledged to continue their effort to save the natural resources of Mother Earth.

World Heritage day 18th April’19

The students of classes VI to VIII had put up an informative and entertaining presentation on the importance of preserving world heritage. A dance performance was given by the pre-primary sections demonstrating the diverse Indian culture.

Sports 2nd February’19

A fit body is intrinsic to the overall cognitive development of the children and TSS believes in blending academic excellence with emphasis on sports to bring out the best of every student.The four houses encountered into a rigorous competition. The day started with lighting of the torch and oath taking. Three colourful drills demonstrated the perfect coordination of the participants followed by the exciting sports events like bag –pack race, in which the children had to pack their bags and reach the finishing line; frog race where the students had to hop like a frog to complete the race and so on.

The Little Scholar’s Fair 9th February’19

The Little Scholar’s fair which was held in February 2019 gave a unique opportunity to the students to showcase their academic learnings in the form of live models which dealt with real life problem solving as well as demonstration of the understanding of concepts learnt. There were corners for Maths, Science, Social Science, Computer, Art & Craft and Languages .The students prepared working models, demonstrated on the functioning of those. Human models were used in the English and Bengali corners, where the students enacted the proses and poetries which they had chosen.An ATM Model prepared by the students of Maths corner, which worked like a real ATM Machine attracted many visitors. The Science corner demonstrated the volcanic eruption which was enjoyed both by the visitors and the spectators and the seven wonders prepared by the Social Science corner put all of us in wonder.
